C-Sections and the negative impacts on your body
C-section scars can have a significant negative impact on the body. They can restrict the natural movement of fascia, muscles, and nerves, essentially creating a “straitjacket effect” that limits the body’s overall function. This restriction can impede circulation and energy flow, potentially interfering with overall health and well-being. Moreover, scars can trigger an overactive sympathetic nervous system, leading to chronic stress, increased pain, and an increased susceptibility to illness. Scientific research has linked C-section scars to conditions such as chronic post-surgical pain, back pain, shoulder pain, and neuropathic pain.
In a recently published study, only small percentage off the chronic pain experienced by patients was localized at the scar site (10%), with 80-90 % of chronic pain experienced by the suffering patient distant or far-removed form the from C-Section site. (OGN 2019).
Study Details:
- 40% C-Sections experience CHRONIC BACK pain
- 20% C-sections experience SHOULDER-NECK pain
